Joining Pennine Magpie in 2002 following retirement from his post with the local authority he somehow managed to combined three years of study at Manchester College of Arts with his part-time position of development manager.

Steve had many roles, from fundraising and strategic managment to teaching joinery and delivering music sessions to our students. He comments, "My time at Pennine Magpie has been very fulfilling, the staff and students are just great to be around and the organisation provides a wonderful service for the people of calderdale - I'm proud to have been part of it's success. For the future I'm going to concentrate on my family and friends and my many hobbies and interest. - But - I'll be back to see you all as often as I can".
